The sixth annual gLOCAL Evaluation Week, held between June 3-7, showed remarkable growth and engagement. An estimated 25,000 people from all over the world attended almost 370 events, marking a significant increase from the previous year when over 20,000 people attended 304 sessions.

Latin America and the Caribbean led the way with 124 events, followed by Lusophone Africa and Brazil, Anglophone Africa, Francophone Africa, South Asia, and Central Asia. Among participating countries, Mexico emerged as the frontrunner with 49 events, followed by Brazil, the United States, India, and Costa Rica.

gLOCAL 2024 was more diverse than ever with contributions coming from non-government organizations, academic institutions, multilateral development organizations, government bodies, and the private sector. Female participation was notably strong, comprising 56% of event organizers and 61.8% of participants in total.

Popular themes explored during the week included evaluation and transformational change, public policy, participatory evaluation, governance, and education.
