About the Event

Culturally responsive and contextualized assessments are vital for monitoring, evaluating and measuring the impact of programs. This panel discussion share the insights on the process, metrics and principles followed for developing a social emotional wellbeing survey from Indian adolescents. The survey is designed to assess the levels of students’ social-emotional and personal wellbeing that has been standardized in the Indian population. The tool measures intrapersonal characteristics, interpersonal characteristics and environmental contexts related to social and emotional learning.
The main aim of this panel discussion is to share the details of the social emotional wellbeing assessment, its usefulness and how to integrate the assessment into various programs. The panel will also discuss the design principles for co creating social emotional learning assessment and share insights on developing culturally responsive assessments.

Sweta Bhusan PhD Senior Manger -Research and Impact Sweta Bhusan, a sustainability and development professional work closely with the stakeholders from the underserved societies in thematic areas of education, gender, health and migration. Her expertise lies in undertaking mixed research methods and handling bid data
Angana Das Associate Manager -Research and Impact Angana Das holds an MPhil in Education, Globalization and International Development from University of Cambridge Her research interests include education for happiness and peace, social and emotional learning in non-western contexts and arts-based approaches to peace building.
