As development practitioners increasingly recognize that development is a political process affected by myriad factors, we have seen a push to introduce several approaches under the umbrella of thinking and working politically and adaptive management.
This event will look at different approaches to adaptive learning and how they have worked in practice. The session will examine these approaches through the lens of LEAP, the learning component of PERL, a multi-year, large scale learning programme that seeks to bring together governments and citizens groups to collectively address governance challenges associated with the delivery of public goods and services.
At this event, the speakers will be sharing lessons learned from their efforts and experiences to institutionalize learning, and they will provide recommendations that might help inform other adaptive programmes interested in systematic learning. This session is meant to be participatory and as such, participants will be encouraged to share their own experiences and questions. The objective is not just to share experiences, opportunities, and challenges, but also to build a knowledge base on adaptive programmes.
