Nowadays, there is a movement toward diversification of research impact evaluation in multiple dimensions. This movement has been driven by the expansion of the concept of research excellence to highlight the quality and scientific rigor and indicators and methods for impact evaluation, which goes beyond the frontier of academia. Furthermore, this movement steers guidelines and practices of funding agencies, research organizations, higher education institutions and government agencies. This roundtable aims to discuss indicators and methods about trends and scientific and technological knowledge production, knowledge dissemination through innovation and other impacts on society.
