International panel on the challenges and best practices in the use of evaluations. International and national experts in the use of public evaluations will participate in the panel, with the aim of generating dialogue and concrete ideas that can be implemented in the day-to-day evaluative decision-making.

The panel, which will take place on June 2, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. (Colombia time) will focus on the following aspects:
- Country perspectives
- Organizational perspectives
- Challenges and solutions in enhancing the use of evaluations for accountability and learning.

Jozef Vaessen Methods Advisor Jos has conducted and led evaluations for multilateral and bilateral development organizations in a range of policy fields such as agriculture, environment, science, education, health and others. Since 2016 he has been leading the Methods Advisory Function at the Independent Evaluation Group.
Ian Goldman Head of Evaluation and Research Ian is an International Advisor in Evaluation and Evidence Systems working with the Global Evaluation Initiative, CLEAR Anglophone Africa, and is a professor at the University of Cape Town.
Osveldo Néstor Feinstein Professor Osvaldo is a Professor at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid’s Master in the Evaluation of Programs & Public Policies and a member of the International Advisory Panel of UNDP’s Independent Evaluation Office. He is an editor/author of books and articles on evaluation, development and economics.
Karina Barrios Sánchez Maestra Karina coordinates strategic and public policy evaluations, evaluation of cross-cutting issues, as well as the preparation of Social Development Policy Evaluation Reports at CONEVAL.
Olga Lucia Romero Director of Monitoring and Evaluation of Public Policies As head of the DNP’s Monitoring and Evaluation Division, Olga works to promote evidence-based decision-making within DNP and other agencies to support policy implementation, including ensuring that the government evaluates its programs to discern their impact.
