About the Event

The goal of this session is to demonstrate the importance of embedding evaluative evidence in voluntary national reviews (VNRs). UNICEF will share its experience and unique position in supporting the African governments through training and targeted technical support, and governments will share their views on the difference this initiative has made on the quality and credibility of their VNRs and their way forward on achieving SDGs. There will be space for discussion between presenters and participants throughout the session.

Name Title Biography
Urs Nagel Regional Evaluation Advisor Urs has over 20 years of evaluation experience on a range of topics, including public health, gender, governance, environment and trade. He is also experienced in supporting UN offices and their counterparts in enhancing institutional frameworks for RBM and fostering an evaluation culture.
Ada Ocampo President Ada has worked in the UN since 1990 in different countries of North and Latin America, Africa and Asia. Her career focused on evaluation capacity development, networking and partnerships. She has lectured at various universities and authored several articles and publications.
