About the Event

The way we farm today is damaging our climate, our wildlife, our soils and our health. The over use of pesticides underpin this current damaging system of farming. We can solve these interconnected crises by changing the way that we grow food and what we put on our plates.
The various fertilizers is so expensive in the markets, farmers needed to turn within, learn about agro ecology farming and the needs to embrace, organic pesticides technology. To conduct a practical demonstration and step-down training regarding organic farming. To encourage the advancement of organic technologies in practical lead farming operations. To involve the interested public in ensuring the availability of basic technology to resolve issues and encourages organic farming and makes it replicable, using low-tech solutions to obtain competitive and feasible means of ensuring profitability and readily achieving performance index. It was heartening to see so many women attended the training. How to make pesticide using neem leaves chopping up the Neem Leaves. Which are put into a 50-liter plastic barrel. Filling this half full of water, putting the neem leave inside plastic, and which the leaves was leave for three days to brew. They were able to observe the mixture, which smell like a cross between urine and onions. Those it was not a pleasant smell but effective against insects. Because of the smell, they were able mixture it away from the house. The mixture which has brewed for 3 days, was sieved, the solution, which thus removes the leaves and they were left with the mixture that will be sprayed on the farm. They now remove anything that may clog our sprayer. Then adding Oil and Detergent. To make sure the pesticide sticks to the plants and doesn't just run off, then also add oil and dish soap. They used 3 spoon of cooking oil and one spoon of liquid dish soap. The role of the dish soap is to break down the oil, and the role of the oil is to make it stick to the leaves. And they are prepared to use the technology that was being introduced at the time. When feasible, each trainer would set aside particular days to meet together wearing gathered. The training provided to the fifty women farmers was quite educational, and the many extension messages piqued their interest and understanding of the subject. The majority of the participants were able to agree on the day of the training. On the day of the course, most of the participants were able to reach an agreement. Despite the short notice, the participant attended and asked numerous questions. While some participants were able to attend, others found it difficult because of the market day and how it affected aspects of the training. There were responses given. Second, there are partial interfaces with the farmers; some are ignorant, but they were still able to comprehend and participate in the training, and they expressed interest in additional step-down training days.

He did its Industrial Training at the International Institutes of Tropical Agriculture Ibadan. Among other things is that He is the founder of Michael Adedotun Oke Foundation, Agric- Link Multipurpose Cooperative Society limited , Talent Upgrade Global Concepts and Maofs Writer Forum and he have established a World Class Barbing Saloon.
