Climate metrics for small and growing businesses in developing economies

Panel Discussion

About the Event

Description:
With support from the Tipping Point Fund on Impact Investing (TPFII), the Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs (ANDE) has been able to develop and invest in its impact measurement and management (IMM) work. Among other projects, ANDE has been working with India-based Climate Collective Foundation to research and produce a climate metrics guide specifically aimed at “right-sized” climate metrics for small and growing businesses (SGBs) and their support organizations in emerging economies. This report will collate existing tools and resources for measuring climate impact for this critical business sector and how to overcome common challenges to operationalizing these IMM frameworks. While this report will be published in late July or August, ANDE would like to share preliminary findings from the report and invite professionals to discuss or comment on the findings.

This will be an open panel discussion session wherein ANDE and Climate Collective Foundation will present a preliminary view of this report and solicit feedback or discussion from attendees. We invite attendees experienced in climate or environmental IMM or small business support and IMM to attend. We additionally extend the invitation to anyone interested in climate metrics for small and growing businesses, specifically those who may want to utilize this guide for their organizations.

Agenda:
• Welcome and introductions from ANDE
• Presentation of guide from Climate Collective Foundation
• Open opportunity to dialogue – sourcing feedback from participants
• Thank you and closing
