About the Event

This session will provide an introduction to ways of mainstreaming consideration of environmental sustainability in evaluation. Participants will learn about why evaluation needs to change to do this, and ways of starting to make the change, whether as commissioners of evaluation, evaluators, or those involved in evaluation capacity strengthening. It will provide examples from some recent cases and links to additional resources and networks to learn more.

Patricia Rogers CEO Patricia Rogers has worked on evaluations and evaluation systems for more than 30 years in a wide range of sectors and organisations, including national, state and local government departments and agencies, UN agencies, international philanthropic foundations, development banks and NGOs.
Andy Rowe Director Fellow and former President of Canadian Evaluation Society and recipient of the Society’s award for Contribution to Evaluation in Canada and over thirty-five years conducting evaluations in a wide range of natural resource and human settings now focusing on sustainability and climate.
