Evaluating Validity Of Data Collection Methods In Early Career Recruitment In Pakistani Firms

About the Event

In 2017, the Online Labor Index published by the Oxford Internet Institute declared Pakistan the world’s 4th most attractive market for freelancers. The expansion of freelance work has impacted the traditional supply of early stage talent that corporations in Pakistan were accustomed to. In turn, it has also raised questions about how they solicit, screen and process employment applications from the talent that does apply for entry level jobs.

This study aims to examine how the flow of recruitment data—specifically its volume, forms and processing affects early-career talent management process. It further attempts to examine the relationship between data acquired by firms and the rate of retention of said talent over a 1-, 3- and 5- year period in the same organization, where such data is available and freely shared.

With the objective of clarifying and shortening the recruitment cycle data flow, this session addresses the approach recruiters take when seeking applicant data and how this data may be processed more efficiently and profitably for all stakeholders involved.
