About the Event
In 2023, the United Nations Evaluation Group has commissioned two analytical papers: i. Comparative analysis of UN Evaluation Policies with respect to NECD, ii. Lessons learnt from joint and support to country-led evaluation. During the session the summary findings and recommendations stemming from these papers will be presented and its implications in further engagement of different types of actors in NECD, and joint and coutry-led evaluations will be discussed.

He has over twenty years of experience in humanitarian affairs and development aid for the United Nations, the International Movement of the Red Cross, NGOs, donor agencies and private firms. |
Steven Masvaure | Senior Evaluation Technical Specialist, CLEAR AA | Steven Masvaure is a Senior Evaluation Technical Specialist at the Centre for Learning on Evaluation and Results, Anglophone (CLEAR AA). He is a holder of a PhD in Development Studies and has been playing several roles in the international development space for more than 12 years. |
Asela Kalugampitiya | National Evaluation Capacity Development Specialist, UNFPA | Asela Kalugampitiya is a Sri Lankan lawyer, holds Masters and PhD in evaluation from Saarland University, Germany. Currently he works for the UNFPA Independent Evaluation Office. Asela has over two decades of experience in Monitoring & Evaluation field. His main expertise area is NECD. |
Ina Salas | Principal Evaluation Specialist, UNESCO | Ina Salas is a Principal Evaluation Specialist at UNESCO, where she manages the Evaluation of the UNESCO Associated Schools Network and supports decentralized evaluations. Her prior experiences include the GEF Coordination Unit and the FAO Evaluation Office. She has a doctoral degree in Economics. |
