Using Data for Community's use

Panel Discussion

About the Event

For sustained development, evidence-based decision making is needed at every level, including at the community level. In this session, through case studies of NGO and Government programs, the audience will learn how data can be locally collected, managed and analysed to reorient development projects towards local communities. Experiences from a tribal belt in Maharashtra of using data for controlling malnutrition by a young IAS official, and work of an NGO in strengthening the field level data collection, analysis and use systems will be presented. This will be put in perspective with a larger discussion around participation and localisation in M&E, to be followed by a Q&A session.
