About the Event

The purpose of this panel discussion is to share the experiences of emerging evaluators and the approaches taken by various organisations to the theme "Recentering M&E for local audiences."

The WFP, CLEAR-AA, and SAMEA/ UNICEF emerging evaluators will engage in a discussion centred on the theme: Recentering M&E for local audiences. The emerging evaluators will draw on their experiences to demonstrate the diverse approaches taken by various organisations to the theme. To begin, a discussion of the various methods for contextualising monitoring and evaluation for local audiences will be hedld. The roundtable discussion will discuss his or her experience working with the World Food Programme in the context of recentering M&E for local audiences. Secondly, we will reflect on the approaches and methods by which CLEAR-AA contributes to recentering M&E for local audiences, based on his/her experience. Finally, the discussion will centre on what these organisations are doing to cultivate and promote an inclusive and equitable culture, as well as to create a space for such dialogue.

Mayibongwe Mncube Emerging Evaluator Mayibongwe Mncube is an Emerging Evaluator in a joint programme of the CLEAR-AA and UN World Food Programme, Regional Bureau Southern Africa. Mayibongwe holds a Post-graduate Diploma in Monitoring and Evaluation with Wits University as various courses in M & E including the IPDET course.
Isabel Mukali Emerging Evaluator Isabel Malandu Mukali is an Emerging Evaluator at CLEAR AA and UNWFP. Isabel holds a Masters of Philosophy in Monitoring and Evaluation from Stellenbosch University in South Africa. Isabel has 8 years of research experience and 2 years of monitoring and evaluation.
Samukelisiwe Mkhize Emerging Evaluator Samukelisiwe Mkhize is an Emerging Evaluator at CLEAR-AA & the World Food Programme, Regional Bureau Southern Africa. She holds a Masters in Policy and Development Studies, BA in Law & Political Science. She has 5 years working in research, monitoring and evaluation in NGOs, government & education.
