In the last five years, there has been a movement to integrate the tools of big data and machine learning in the outcome and impact evaluation. Applications for the implementation, coordination and management of programs, strategies and services have evolved more rapidly than the actual use in evaluation. The roundtable seeks to discuss the challenges and opportunities of using these tools.

Adriana Bin Ph.D. She is an Assistant Professor at the School of Applied Sciences at the University of Campinas and coordinator of the Laboratory for Studies on the Organization of Research & Innovation, with experience in the fields science, technology and innovation policy and management.
Michael Bamberger Ph.D. Michael Bamberger has a Ph.D. from the London School of Economics and more than 40 years of experience working on development evaluation around the world. In recent years he has worked on opportunities for the integration of ICT and big data into the evaluation of development programs.
Rodrigo Costas Ph.D. Rodrigo Costas is a senior researcher at the Centre for Science and Technology Studies at Leiden University (the Netherlands). Rodrigo is also an Extraordinary Associate Professor at the Centre for Research on Evaluation, Science and Technology (CREST) of Stellenbosch University (South Africa).
