SDG evaluation revisited: Can SDG evaluation bridge between the global and the local?

À propos de l'événement

It is often said that “SDG evaluation is difficult.” There is indeed a substantive difference from the evaluation of the pre-SDG era, and one of the prominent features of SDG is rooted in its highly-abstract and quality-based conceptual targets. Although a global discussion on evaluation tends to focus on how to measure these conceptual targets (measurability), the current complex, diversified, and uncertain world requires us to reconsider what is the value in each unique context to be evaluated (evaluability).

In order to increase evaluability, abstract global goals and targets need to be localized by considering its own social context.

In this webinar, a theoretical framework and a case study will be shared to reconsider SDG evaluation from a perspective of Coproduction-based Program Evaluation as a possible bridge between the global goals and the local practices. Participants also get the chance to direct their questions to the speaker during the Q & A session.
