In this roundtable we discuss how PDAG and ISB as part of a consortium implementing the Safe and Responsible Migration Initiative (SRMI) is planning to incorporate Early Warning System in M&E practice, to map Jharkhand’s inter-state migrants as well as create real-time actionable insights for district administration’s to identify and mitigate distress migration. We will look at how migration data from 2020, data from the Shramadhan portal and other public datasets will be effectively used to create this replicable at-scale decision making framework ready to be replicated by other states.

At PDAG his role also includes driving data-driven external research partnerships and helping design platforms of social impact.
Dr Bhaskar Chakravorty Faculty Bhaskar Chakravorty is a faculty at the Department of Economics, University of Warwick. He completed his PhD from the Institute of Employment Research, University of Warwick. He also holds a MA in Development Studies from International Institute of Social Studies (ISS), Erasmus University Rotterdam.
Nirali Bakhla Consultant - Research & Data Analytics Nirali hold a Master's degree in Economics & a MPhil in Development Studies from IGIDR, Mumbai.
Abhijeet Parmar Research Associate Abhijeet is a technology specialist and leads the technology segment of Initiative on Forest Economy at Bharti Institute of Public Policy, ISB, Hyderabad. He is an earth systems modelling expert specialising in geospatial analytics and simulations, risk, and hazard models.
