The COVID -19 pandemic wreaked havoc on all social and economic sectors in the Caribbean. Great effort has been expended by governments, regional institutions, and development partners to assess the impact of the pandemic to inform appropriate responses.
The panel explores the approaches taken by different stakeholders to assess the impact of COVID-19 on key sectors such as agriculture and food security, education, and health.
Some of the key elements to cover during the event are the methodologies that have been employed to develop the assessments, the main results from the analyses, the indicators that have been thrown off track, and the policies/strategies that could work to mitigate the fall out.

Denise Antonio Resident Representative Ms Antonio has served as UNDP Resident Coordinator since 2019. Prior to this, she has served as Deputy Country Director (Operations), in Angola and Zimbabwe, and in Ghana as Deputy Resident Representative.
Isiuwa Iyahen Deputy Representative Ms Iyahen, has over 13 years of experience in international development, and prior to her recent appointment as Deputy Representative, she served as Programme Specialist, Economic Empowerment and Statistics for over 8 years
Lisa James Agricultural Economist At CARDI Ms. James works in the Resource Mobilisation, Planning and Monitoring and Evaluation Unit. Prior to this Ms. James has many years of experience in the conduct of social and economic research, resource mobilization, monitoring, and evaluation of programs.
Camille Spencer Programme Director, M&E Ms. Spencer has over 12 years experience in Monitoring and Evaluation, and is currently Programme Director, M&E, National Transformation Unit, Ministry of Planning and Development, Trinidad &Tobago
